Message templates let you save frequently used messages, such as interview invitations and rejection messages. This guide explains how to create, edit, copy and delete templates, and how to manage their languages and status.

Creating a new message template

  1. Open Organization Settings → Templates → Messaging.

  2. Select + New template.

  3. Give the message template a name.

  4. Select the message's purpose.

  5. Select the message's language or languages.

  6. Write the message content. If you selected several languages, write the message in each language.

  7. Select Save.

The new message template is available immediately.

If saving fails, check that the name, purpose and message content are filled in for all selected languages.

Editing a message template

  1. Open Organization Settings → Templates → Messaging.

  2. Select the name of the message template you want to edit in the list.

  3. Make the changes you need.

  4. Select Save.

Select Cancel if you don't want to save the changes.

Laura's built-in templates cannot be edited. If you want to adapt the content of a built-in template, use the Copy template action in the row's action menu. This creates an editable copy of the template among your organization's own templates, which you can then edit normally from this same view.

Copying a message template

Copy a template when you want to create a different version of it.

  1. Open the three-dot menu next to the template you want to copy.

  2. Select Copy template.

  3. Open the copy that appears in the list.

  4. Edit the template and select Save.

A Laura built-in template can be copied too.

Deleting a message template

  1. Open the three-dot menu next to the template you want to delete.

  2. Select Delete.

  3. Confirm the deletion.

The deletion cannot be undone.

Laura's built-in templates cannot be deleted. They can, however, be disabled or re-enabled. The last enabled Application received template cannot be deleted either.

Disabling and re-enabling a message template

Disable the template:

  1. Open the three-dot menu next to the template.

  2. Select Disable.

The template stays in the list, but it cannot be selected when sending a message.

Re-enable the template:

  1. Open the three-dot menu next to the template.

  2. Select Enable.

The template can then be selected again when sending a message.

Note: the last enabled Application received template cannot be disabled.

Message template languages

You can make a message template multilingual, for example in Finnish, Swedish and English.

  1. Select Edit languages.

  2. Select the languages the template is needed in.

  3. Write the message in each language you selected. Switch between languages using the language chips.

  4. Select Save.

Note: the message template cannot be saved if the message is missing for any of the selected languages.

Purposes (categories)

Each template is assigned one purpose when it is saved:

  • Application received

  • Interview invitation

  • Selection decision

  • Rejection

  • Other
